Public Disclosure Text About Processing of Personal Data
This text is prepared and issued by GÜNDÜZ ALKAN LAW FIRM (Attorney at Law Saadet GÜNDÜZ ALKAN) in accordance with Article 10 of KVKK in order to inform you as to how your personal data are processed and handled by GÜNDÜZ ALKAN LAW FIRM (Attorney at Law Saadet GÜNDÜZ ALKAN) in reliance upon and in strict compliance with the Law on Protection of Personal Data no. 6698 (“KVKK”) and secondary legislation associated therewith, as well as the decisions of the Personal Data Protection Board (“KVK Board”) (to be hereinafter collectively referred to as “Data Protection Legislation”), and other applicable laws and regulations pertaining thereto.
Purposes of Processing of Personal Data
The term “personal data” stands for your personal data you opt to share with us via this website and other communication channels, which may change depending on the contents of related services, like your first name, last name and e-mail address, and your personal data to be inserted by you in the message contents, and which may also include your special personal data like your health data and information.
To the extent permitted by the nature of your request, you may also communicate with us without giving your name or by giving a nickname.
Transfer of Personal Data
Your personal data may be shared by us with both legally authorized public administrations and bodies or administrative authorities and other third parties to whom we outsource some services for the sake of effective conduct and management of our activities and of performance of our contractual obligations or for our relations with you. We shall of course take care of keeping the scope of your personal data to be shared as such limited by the services outsourced thereinfor.
Methods and Legal Causes of Collection of Your Personal Data
Your personal data may be collected by us by physical methods, including, but not limited to, sharing by yourself or statements to be made in e-mail messages, telephone conversations and during conduct of legal processes and proceedings in the course of our contractual relations with you. In addition, your personal data may also be collected via communication form to be filled in by you during your visits to our website.
Your personal data are processed pursuant to KVKK only if and to the extent it is (i) clearly stipulated in the applicable laws, and (ii) essentially required for performance of our legal obligations, and (iii) needed for execution and performance of our legal service or advice contracts, and (iv) required to be processed for our legitimate interests, or (v) permitted by your explicit prior consent.
Deletion, Destruction and Anonymization of Personal Data
Your personal data are deleted, destroyed or anonymized by us ex officio or upon demand of the relevant personal data owner if and when the legal causes necessitating their processing pursuant to Article 7 of KVKK are no more available or in force.
Right of Application Relating to Your Personal Data
It is essentially important to make sure that personal data kept by us about you are accurate and current. That is why in the case of a change in your personal data, please inform us thereabout. Pursuant to Article 11 of KVKK, anyone whose personal data are processed may apply to us by sending an e-mail message to info@gunduzalkan.av.tr and make any one of the following requests:
a) To learn whether his/her personal data are processed by us or not; and,
b) If his/her personal data are processed, to request information thereabout; and,
c) To learn the purpose of processing of his/her personal data, and whether his/her personal data are used for the intended purposes or not; and,
d) To learn the identity of personal data to whom his/her personal data are transferred in Turkey or abroad; and,
e) If his/her personal data are processed incompletely or inaccurately, to request completion or correction of them, as the case may be; and,
f) If and when the causes necessitating the processing of his/her personal data are no more available and in force, to request deletion, destruction or anonymization of his/her personal data; and,
g) To request that the actions taken in accordance with subparagraphs (e) and (f) hereinabove be duly notified to third parties to whom his/her personal data are transferred; and,
h) To raise oppositions against any probable consequences that may occur in disfavour of the data owner as a result of analysis of the processed data solely by means of automatic systems; and,
i) If he incurs damages and losses due to illegal processing of his/her personal data, to claim indemnification of his/her damages and losses.
Security of Your Personal Data
We are striving for protection of confidentiality and security of your personal data disclosed to us. To this end, we are taking all kinds of technical and administrative security in order to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, damages, losses or disclosures.
Personal Data Storage Period
GÜNDÜZ ALKAN LAW FIRM (Attorney at Law Saadet GÜNDÜZ ALKAN) will keep and store your personal data only for the period of its subject legal services in order to perform its obligations arising out of the nature of its legal services, and thereafter, for a period of 6 (six) months in order to perform its legal obligations and for the sake of protection of its legitimate interests, in conformity with the applicable laws and regulations pertaining thereto.
